Car runs into Ridge Church School, injures 2 pupils

According to an eye witness the car with registration number GW-998-14 run into the church auditorium, injuring the two pupils

Two pupils of the Ridge Church School in Accra, Wednesday morning got injured when a Toyota Highlander drove into the church auditorium during service.

The two were quickly rushed to the Ridge hospital for medical care and are said to be in a stable condition.

According to an eye witness, the pupils had just finished singing a hymn when the car with registration number GW-998-14 run into the church auditorium, injuring the two pupils and destroying some of the pews in the church.

The eyewitness said the area through which the car run into the church was usually occupied by pupils in the lower primary but on that morning they were having their morning worship in a separate place at the new multi-purpose hall of the church.

Another eyewitness said that the car was being driven by a pregnant woman who had just dropped her children off at the school.

According to her, the woman mistakenly stepped on the accelerator, causing her to run into the church.
