Monitored reports suggest many people are trapped in floodwaters in their homes, while those who had been out ahead of the rains cannot return home.

Power across the capital has been cut, as parts of the Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout, Adabraka, Kaokudi, Accra New Town, Achimota, AIrport, La, Mallam, Dansoman, Santa Maria and Kwashiman, among several others, have flooded, and major roads cut off.
