8 police officers implicated in judicial scandal granted bail

According to the Public Relations officer of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Police Service, ASP Joseph Darkwah CID, eight policemen were indicted in the video and have been given police enquiry bail after giving their statements.

Police officers implicated in the Anas Aremeyaw Anas judicial corruption scandal have been asked to step aside while the police investigate the matter.

"They are to report to us everyday till we finish investigations", he said on Uniiq Fm.The CID says it has begun investigations into the bribery allegations against the 34 judges and magistrates and more than 100 members of the judicial service staff.ASP Joseph Darkwah, said judicial staff implicated in the scandal will be invited by the police next week to assist with investigations.
