Justice Ivy Heward Mills dismissed
An explanation that a card given to her by tigereye pi teammates at Aggrey Memorial Junction was just an invitation to an event was rejected by the committee.

This was contained in a statement signed by the First Deputy Judicial Secretary Justice Juliana Amonoo-Neizer. According to the statement the dismissal took effect from June 20, 2016.
In 2015, investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas released an investigative documentary that showed judges at both the superior and lower courts taking bribes in order to free criminals.
The Chief Justice commissioned a committee to look into the matter and twenty-two magistrates have so far been removed from office.

The statement explained that “his excellency the President, John Dramani Mahama, in a letter dated June 17, 2016 accepted the recommendation for her removal from office by the committee set up by the Hon. Lady Chief Justice…on the grounds of stated misbehavior”
It further explained that Justice Ivy Heward Mills acted contrary to the code of conducts for judges and magiatrates.
Even though Mills denied accepting money from the petitioner’s team in her chambers “her explanation that what the petitioner’s teammate gave her in her car at the Aggrey Memorial School Junction was an invitation card to a social event was unacceptable”
The dismissed judge has been asked to vacate her official bungalow and hand over every other official assert in her possession "including official government vehicle, dockets and record books to the Judicial Secretary forthwith."
