EC boss “thrilled” by Sophia Akuffo’s nomination as CJ
In a short statement, she said Justice Akuffo’s knowledge in the law is solid and that she has solid credentials and integrity.

She expressed believe that the new Chief Justice will lead the judiciary with wisdom purpose.
She said: “I am totally thrilled at the nomination of Her Ladyship Sophia Akuffo JSC as our next Chief Justice. I first met Her Ladyship in 1992 as a young law student at her office at Mobil House where she was General Counsel at the time.
“Her knowledge of the law is solid. She's an extremely brilliant woman, with solid credentials and solid integrity.

“I believe she will lead our judiciary with wisdom and purpose. We pray that God grants her strength, courage, and wisdom. Congratulations, Her Ladyship.”
President Akufo-Addo on Friday picked Justice Akuffo as the new Chief Justice to replace Mrs Georgina Theodora Wood who retires on June 8.
