Four new District Chief Executives has been appointed by President John Mahama.
President John Mahama nominated four new District Chief Executives (DCEs), according to a statement signed and issued by Local Government Minister Julius Debrah on Tuesday.
The four nominees are Bukari Darimani, Sissala West District; and Seidu Cletus Dapila, Jirapa District both in the Upper West Region.
The others are David Wuni, West Mamprusi; and Sampoa Timothy Laari, Bunkrugu/ Yunyoo both in the Northern region.
The President also re-nominated Alhaji Alhassan Musah as DCE for Kumbungu in the Northern Region.
The President in accordance with article 243 (3) (b) of the 1992 Constitution sacked Chief Executive for Ahanta West, Joseph Dofoyena with no reason given.
