A prosecutor in the case told a Magistrate court today.

One of the restaurant's supervisors, Jihad Chabaan, is facing the law for allegedly dipping an Ghanaian employee's face in pepper.

The prosecutor told an Accra Magistrate court on Wednesday 8, March 2017, that management threatened to sack workers if they assist the police in their investigations.

According to the prosecution, Jihad has been interfering with their investigations since he was granted self recognizance bail by the police.

The Lebanese manager Jihad Chabaan pleaded not guilty to three charges of assault, causing harm and offensive conduct.

The prosecutor also prayed the court to heed to their plea because they could guarantee the security of the accused.

Jihad Chaaban allegedly dipped the face of a kitchen staffer Evelyn Boakye at the Abelemkpe branch of the eatery into pepper paste.

This inhumane treatment has caused many social media users in Ghana calling for the boycott of the eatery. This has led to the creation of a hashtag #boycottMarwako.

Jihad Chaaban has however, also for his action.
