A 15-year-old girl has been stabbed and robbed at gunpoint early this morning at Amanfrom in the Ga South Municipality in Accra

A 15-year-old girl has been stabbed and robbed at gunpoint Friday dawn at Amanfrom near Kasoa on her way to the market.

The JHS graduate was reported leaving her house at Amanfrom heading towards the Kasoa market for shopping when two robbers fired gun shots to cow her to surrender her belongings a few meters away from the main police station.

According to reports by Citi FM, the robbers stabbed the teenager when she resisted and bolted with her handbag.

She has been rushed to the Amanfrom Health Post, but health officials are likely to transfer her to a major hospital due to her condition, according to reports.

Amanfrom, a suburb of the Ga South Municipality, has become popular due to an increase in mass armed robbery cases.

The residents have appealed to the police to beef up security in the area.
