WAEC cancels leaked BECE papers

WAEC has cancelled the Basic Education Certificate Examination.

Information reaching Pulse.com.gh indicates that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has cancelled five papers in the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

It is unclear how some papers leaked to pupils writing the exams.

A statement signed by its deputy director of public affairs Agnes Teye Cudjoe Wednesday said WAEC is disappointed in the leakage of the Mathematics, Integrated science, Social Studies and English papers on social media platforms including Facebook and WhatsApp.

The release comes after massive public concern over the leakage of the papers ahead of the examination.
