Brong Ahafo Region One killed as gunmen attack bus

The armed men were said to have opened fire on the bus when it arrived at Babatokuma on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway.

One person has been reported dead after some unidentified men attacked a bus from Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region to Tamale in the Northern region.

There were 15 passengers on board the Ssanyong Istana mini bus with registration number GC 1583-12 when the incident occurred on Sunday, Accra-based Starr FM reports.

The armed men were said to have opened fire on the bus when it arrived at Babatokuma on the Kintampo-Tamale Highway.

They made away with some valuables and money of some of the passengers.

Five people sustained injuries in the attack and have since been sent to the Techiman Hospital for treatment.
