If you want to buy the iPhone X in Ghana, here's a guide to what the new phone is all about.

The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus both have some improvements from the previous iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The iPhone X, however, is their flagship device for 2017.

This high-end device is to commensurate their 10-year anniversary. With the price starting at $999, it is the most expensive iPhone ever made.

Here are 10 things you need to know about the iPhone X if you are thinking of getting one.

  • The iPhone X ( pronounced iPhone 10) has 5.8-inch edge to edge screen. Apart from a small notch made for the front camera, the front of the phone is covered with screen. It has an OLED and 2438x1125 resolution display with 458 pixels per inch.
  • This takes away the home button feature associated with previous iPhones. And also the fingerprint scanner. (No home button)
  • It also has facial recognition called
  • iPhone X also has the Animoji (Animated emoji).Using facial recognition and the 3D camera to scan the face, emojis can match your facial expression in a short animation. Currently, this works on a limited selection of emojis.
  • Augmented Reality. This feature allows iPhone users to superimpose virtual images, games and videos onto real objects. So you can now watch your FIFA games using your desk as the football pitch.
  • The removal of the home button doesn’t affect Siri. Siri can be accessed by voice or pressing the power button.
  • Don’t worry about the lack of a home button for navigation. Apps that used to use touch ID, would now use facial recognition. And also you can swipe to go back to the homepage.
  • The new iPhone X supports wireless charging. This means that you don’t need to insert your charger into your phone to charge.
  • Has a 3D infrared front camera with is 7MP. And a dual lens 12-megapixel rear camera.
  • The iPhone X comes in two storage capacities that is 64GB and 256GB. It also has a longer battery life(2 more hours) than iPhone 7.
