The price of tomatoes has seen a reduction for the second week in August.
According to data from the agriculture information platform, Isoko, prices of tomato saw a 7% reduction, going for 6 Cedis 80 pesewas per medium size tin as at Friday.

Prices of cassava saw the second highest drop in the week with three to four tubers of cassava now selling at 6 Cedis 70 pesewas, representing a 4% with a 4% reduction.

The price of a medium tuber of yam dropped by 3 percent and it is now selling at 6 cedis 70 pesewas while a medium-size tin of gari lost 3 percent in the second week of August. It is now selling at 6 Cedis 70 pesewas.
Whereas the price of groundnut and soybean dropped this week, the price of cowpea went up by a pesewa. According to Isoko, the prices of a medium size tin of fresh tomatoes declined in Accra, Techiman and Takoradi. In Accra, the commodity could be sold to you at 5 Cedis 40 pesewas; while in Techiman it could be sold to you at 3 cedis 90 pesewas, and 9 Cedis 70 pesewas in Takoradi.
