StarTimes launches most affordable pay-tv package as part of one-year anniversary

The promo which is dubbed “3y3 Free Decoder Promo Part 2”will see customers handed the most affordable pay-tv package in the country.

In this promo, customers will only have to pay for a one-month subscription for the StarTimes super bouquet, which costs just GHc60, and will then be rewarded with a free decoder.

The “3y3 Free Decoder Promo Part 2” is a more affordable option for customers, compared to the previous package which saw new subscribers pre-pay for a super bouquet at a cost of GHc120 before being given the free decoder.

The promo is made more enticing by the fact that subscribers will have the chance to enjoy additional channels of sports, movies, telenovelas, entertainment and reality shows.

Speaking at the launch of the promo held at the StarTimes Head Office in Accra, Marketing Manager Akorfa Djankui said the objective is to make pay-tv affordable to all Ghanaians.

She explained that the offer is only on new decoders, however, existing customers can equally enjoy the all the available packages at the same cost of GHc60.

“In the past year we [StarTimes] have not only changed people’s view and experiences, we have also changed the whole pay-tv industry in Ghana, with industry players dropping prices in an attempt to catch up with StarTimes,” Ms Djankui remarked.

“At StarTimes, we are focusing on listening to the needs of our subscribers so when launched the ‘3y3 Free Promo Part 1’ our customers raised a few concerns which we have taken into consideration. And so we are introducing the “3y3 Free Promo Part 2” – it’s reloaded – to make things easier for them.”

Chief Operating Officer (COO) at StarTimes Felix Ahonzo also added that the new promo will make it easier for Ghanaians to now watch their favourite television programmes at cheaper prices.

He urged parents to do well to purchase the StarTimes decoder since it caontains educative channels which will inure to the good of pupils at various homes.

Touching on the programmes available for prospective subscribers who enroll on the “3y3 Free Promo Part 2”, Productions Manager at StarTimes, Ernest Quaye Ardey disclosed that customers should expect to get value for money.

According to him, the new promo is serves as a plaform for StarTimes to show their generosity to Ghanaians, as part of their one-year anniversary celebration.

They also feature over 440 authorized channels of news, movies, sports, entertainment, fashion, religion, etc.
