Power Ministry's Solomon Asoalla adjudged Chief Director of the year
Solomon Atim Asoalla won the award at the second edition of the excellence awards for Chief Directors in Ghana.
He fought off competition from 25 other Chief Directors who were all measured against the performance criteria for public servants. Mr. Asoalla was adjudged the best-performed Chief Director, followed by Professor Thomas Mba Akabza of the Petroleum Ministry, Enoch Cobblah, Education Ministry, and Godwin Brocke, Chief Director of the Roads and Highways Ministry.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Director of the Power Ministry, Mr. Asoalla held the position of Director of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, where he later become the Head of Administration and Finance.
As his award, Mr. Asoalla took home a plaque with a citation presented to him by Minister of Roads and Highways, Inusah Fuseini.
Mr. Asoalla won the award because of his immense contributions in ushering the country out of a three-year protracted energy crisis.
