GRA rakes in 22.17 billion cedis, exceeds revenue target

The revenue collected constitute a 29.3 % increase over that of 2014.

The Ghana Revenue Authority exceeded its revenue target of Gh¢21.57 billion in 2015 by collecting 22.17 billion cedis, George Blankson, Commissioner General of GRA has said.

He attributed the success to the implementation of the single Window Unit system introduced at the port in September last year as well as strategies devised by the Authority.

Mr Blankson said this when he addressed this year's Annual Management Retreat in Ho.

Also, Domestic direct tax is expected to bring in GHC 11.51 billion which Domestic indirect tax GHC 5.92 billion.

In addition, Customs are expected to bring in GHC 10.15 billion.

On the Ecowas Common External Tarrif, Mr Blankson said those opposing the implementation of the tariff are businesses that feel they are not been favored by the implementation of the tariff
