'Ghana open to business again'- Akufo Addo

Akufo-Addo, 72, speaking in front of more than 6,000 guests and a roaring crowd at the Independence Square Saturday wooed investors that there could not be a better time to invest in Ghana done now.

"The doors of Ghana are open again; there could not be a better opportunity to make it in Ghana. Ghana is open to business again,” he said.

President-elect Akufo-Addo has promised tax reliefs to businesses that employ fresh graduates, cut down on "nuisance" taxes and lead a private sector industrialisation.

Dressed in a colourful Kente cloth, the president said his government will provide vision, direction, and shine the light down the path of our entrepreneurs.

He added: “We rely on a vibrant private sector to spur growth and create jobs. It is time to imagine and dream again. Time to try that business idea; we will reduce taxes to recover the momentum of our economy.”
