Ex-Tigo Chief Operations Officer to inspire leadership in business professionals

The forum dubbed “Kick Start” is under theme “The Big Picture – How will you like to remembered beyond your career and business success” will take place at the Coconut Groove Hotel in Accra on Thursday, 25th February 2016 at 6pm,

The forum also seeks to promote ethical and visionary leadership in the market place, and create the platform for young business professionals to connect with potential mentors that can enrich their career.

“The 21st century is about value, so, I am looking forward to share time tested principles for work and life that could help young business professionals to be more productive,” said Mr Banigbe, who is a managing partner at Silver Rock Technology Services, a private consulting company providing advisory and programme management services for organisations operating in the information and communication technology sector.

With over 17 years’ experience in the telecommunication industry, Mr Banigbe is a technology business leader; inspiration speaker, personal life coach and mentor to young entrepreneurs and business professionals.

At Tigo Ghana, he was responsible for driving the overall operations strategy of the business. He had also functioned as the Acting Chief Operating Officer for the company as well as the Chief Technical Office.

Before joining Tigo Ghana, he was the Chief Technical Officer for Tigo Tanzania where he help drive the technology strategy of the business in the East African country.

Earlier in his career, Femi had worked with Airtel Nigeria as the Director of Network Operations. He also worked with Ericsson, the world’s leading telecommunication equipment and service provider for a couple years in several capacities; the last being the Network Support Group Manager for Access and Transport Networks.

Femi also serves on the advisory boards of a couple of both corporate and non-profit organizations spread across the African continent.

He has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria, and Masters of Business Administration degree from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom.

He is also a product of Ericsson Management Development Programme and the Advance Management Programme of London Business School.
