Workers of  the Cocoa Processing Company have further stoked controversy surrounding the shutdown of the company's cocoa processing plants.

Ghana ranks 56 on corruption perception index

Latest Transparency International report on Corruption Perception Index in the world ranked Ghana 56 out of 168 countries , 5 position improvement from last year's where Ghana ranked 61 out of 175 countries.

Ghana however maintained its 7th position on the African continent, trailing behind Botwana, Cape Verde, Seychelles, Rwanda, Mauritius and Namibia.

The report found not one single country, anywhere in the world,  corruption-free.

Cal Bank was the biggest loser of the day, dropping 2p to close at 1.02p, whereas Societe Generale Ghana Limited recorded the biggest gains, gaining 1p  to close at 0.83p.
