Twitter slams Snapchat over new Bob Marley filter

Snapchat is facing fierce criticisms on social media after introducing a Bob Marley filter as one of its features on the app.

The picture which is being described by some as digital black face  shows the face of the iconic singer wearing cartoon dreadlocks and a cap.

Snapchat is being accused of not only introducing a digital version of black face but also the timing of the new feature  is being questioned.

20th April  also 420 is a very important day in weed culture. It refers to the annual consumption of cannabis. and it is also a way of identifying with the weed culture.

The new feature by Snapchat according some is an attempt by the social media company to reduce the music legend to a weed face.
