Tata Communications and MasterCard, at the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting closing plenary, announced a CGI Commitment to Action to financially empower 25,000 women sin the developing world, as part of a larger aim to ultimately reach 100 million women across the globe.

According to report by IT News Africa, the two companies joined forces with a network of partners including BrightstarCorp, Kiva, Tone, Trickle Up, and the Hillary Foundation.

Tata Communications, MasterCard and their network of partners will achieve their aim by taking a non-linear implementation approach as is often done in the technology sector.
