It is unclear the rationale behind the name for the school
Speaking at a workshop on Secondary Education Improvement Project for public relations officers of the GES at Larteh, in the Akwapim North District of the Eastern Region, Mr Stephen Adu, acting Deputy Director-General, in charge of Management Services at the GES asked ”why should a school be named ‘Woman-no-Good’ D/A Primary School? I doubt if there is a queen mother there.”
He said his attention was drawn to name of the school by the minister for Education Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang.
“I have instructed the regional director to check it out and start the process of giving it a suitable name. Whatever the historical implications might be, names of this sort should not be given to schools." He said.
