3 suspects identified in connection with attack

The suspects have been identified as brothers Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, who are both French nationals in their early 30s, and 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad.

Three suspects have been identified in Paris following a deadly attack on the offices of Charlie Hebdo Weekly which left 12 people dead.

A spokesman for the French police told the Guardian journalist, Kim Willsher in Paris that the three suspects had been arrested but these reports have not been confirmed by higher authorities.

The men attacked staff of the satirical newspaper early on Wednesday, January 7, armed with Kalashnikovs and rocket launchers.

Editor Stéphane Charbonnier and colleagues Jean Cabut, Georges Wolinski, Bernard Verlhac, and Bernard Maris are among those believed to have died in the attack.
