Former President Kufuor leaves for UN Summit

As UN Special Envoy, President Kufuor will participate in the Climate Change Dialogue which is part of deliberations towards the next Climate Change summit in Paris, France.

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has left Accra for the United States to attend the upcoming summit of the UN in New York.

He will also hold meetings with other organizations of the UN on whose board he serves.

A statement signed by Spokesperson for the former President, Frank Agyekum explained that while in New York President Kufour will address a meeting of the African Group on the “Renewable Energy Initiative. He will also attend a meeting of the Global Citizenship Panel, headed by Former British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.

John Kufuor is a member of the Board of Governors of the Global Citzenship Panel.
