Prostitutes Raid Kufuor’s House

Well groomed and gorgeous beautiful ladies in the name of sex and money have taken over the residence of Kufuor's son.

One of former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s sons is begging city authorities to help him evict prostitutes who have virtually turned the entrance of his cantonments residence into their pick-up joint.

Edward Kufuor, speaking on the Starr Drive Wednesday told host Bola Ray that the situation is worrying and unfortunate. He added that all efforts to stop the sex workers from using the area as their joint have proved futile.

The actor added that most of the prostitutes have protection from the Police which is making it difficult for him to drive them away.

“Sometimes they sit on our lawns and we have had to re-do the lawn and move the rocks.

"A couple of times, I tell them: ‘You have to move away or I will call the Police,’ and they (prostitutes) tell me: ‘Which police officer? Don’t worry. Tell me and I will call them for you.’”The commercial sex workers have on several occasions been chased away from the cantonments area by the Police, but they keep returning.

Thirty-three suspected commercial sex workers, including two men, were recently arrested by the Cantonments police in Accra for allegedly engaging in prostitution.

The alleged prostitutes were fined an amount of GH¢720 each and made to sign a bond to be of good behaviour for six months.
