An Accra Circuit Court presided over by Mr. Aboagye Tando has granted the Nacortics Control Board, NACOB an exparte application to destroy drugs whose owners cannot be found.

NACOB seemed to have hit a snag in their investigation as the owners of the quantities of assorted drugs intercepted by the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) cannot be traced.

Moving the exparte application, Richard Gyambiby, a State Attorney said NACOB after conducting investigations could not trace owners of the drugs.

He however prayed the court to give the board 500 grammes each of some of the drugs to be used for training purposes by NACOB.

The judge also gave NACOB the green light to take samples of the drugs for training programmes.
