NPP executives attacked at Talensi

Eight political parties have been cleared to contest in the Talensi constituency by-election

 

The First vice national chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Freddie Blay and national Treasurer EmmanuelAbankwa Yeboah have been allegedly attacked in the Talensi Constiteuncy.

The executives were attacked by an NDC aligned group called Azorka Boys.

Reports indicate that they were attacked in the presence of Interior Minister, Mark Woyongo and Regional Minister at the Pwalugu polling station.

Mr. Freddie Blay and Abankwa are receiving treatment at the regional Hospital.

There were reports that a group of able bodied men aligned to the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) stormed the Talensi by-election Constituency over reports that some NDC youth group are preventing NPP members from visiting some polling stations.

The group called “Bolga Bull Dogs” according to reports mounted road blocks in Tongo and are thoroughly searching every vehicle that ply the roads.
