Aflao youth protest over Dangote Cement

The angry youth complain that due to the importation of cement brands such as Dangote, production and sale of locally-based Diamond Cement has witnessed a massive fall.

Some youth in Aflao in the Volta region Thursday morning hit the streets to protest the importation of cement from neighboring Nigeria.According to the youth, the situation is creating jobs for Nigerians to the detriment of the youth in Ghana.

The Diamond Cement factory has been one of the means of survival for many young people in the area, as it has offered employment for many.

The youth have therefore vowed to continue with their protest until government listens to their plea.
