The Gomoa East District Chief Executive Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah has passed away in the Central region.

The Gomoa East District Chief Executive Isaac Kingsley Ahunu-Armah has passed away in the Central region.

Ahunu-Armah resigned from office a few days ago on health grounds.

He was appointed in 2009 and was reappointed in 2013 by President John Mahama.

The late DCE was battling stroke and had to turn in his resignation letter as he could no longer cope with the pressure associated with the work amidst his deteriorating health.

He died at the Central Regional Hospital on Thursday morning.
