Delegates of the Ada East Constituency have rejected the party’s unopposed parliamentary aspirant for the constituency in the New Patriotic Party parliamentary primary.

The delegates refused to accept the Mr. Kanor Senakey  as the party’s unopposed parliamentary aspirant just when officials of the Electoral Commission were about to introduce him to be acclaimed, insisting that they wanted competition and not to acclaim a candidate.

Reports indicate that there is heavy police presence at the polling centre. The constituency has been a stronghold of the ruling National Democratic Congress.

The delegates insisted that they could not work with the aspirant because they did not know him.
