Drug trade Man, 54, arrested with ‘wee’

A 54-year-old-man, Yaw Nyameh has been arrested in Nsawam with two large parcels of dried leaves in addition to its seeds suspected to be Indian hemp.

He was arrested on August 19, 2015 at 2100hrs at Duadekye near Nsawam.

In an interview with Pulse.com.gh, Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police command, ASP Yaw Nketiah Yeboah, said the Nsawam District command received a tip off and organised a swoop at Duadekye where they arrested the suspect Yaw Nyameh in his room.

He said the suspect was seen in the room with two large parcels of dried leaves in addition to its seeds.

He added that investigations to ascertain the source of the drugs were still ongoing adding that the police will arraign the suspect before court.
