Initial reports from Legon in Accra indicate that hundreds of police personnel from the Greater Accra regional police command have trooped in for the protest by some celebrities against the erratic power supply.

The vigil which kicks off today at 4pm at the Legon bridge near the University of Ghana and ends at the green lawn of the Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout at 6.30pm.

The vigil is in reaction to what they call ‘the incompetence’ of the government in tackling the problems facing the country, especially the erratic electricity supply.
