Monday, June 26 is a public holiday

A statement from the ministry said the public holiday must be observed through the country.

He said the day should be observed as such.

The day marks the Eid ul-Fitr, celebrated by Muslims worldwide to make the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.

Eid-ul-Fitr is an Islamic festival celebrated to mark the end of Ramadan, a month-long fasting period for Muslims.

The end of Ramadan, the fourth pillar of Islam is determined by the sight of the moon on the 29th day of fasting. However, fasting continues for the 30th day if the moon is not sighted on the 29.
