Sika and her former wife according to report by the Daily Graphic, had four children, but due to the divorce, the children resided with their mother.

The alleged victim and her siblings normally visited their father on weekends and during holidays to collect money for their upkeep.

Sika, the prosecutor stated, used to have sex with her daughter anytime she visited him.

"Whenever the children visit, they sleep in the same room with their father. Sika then engages in sexual intercourse with the daughter when the other siblings are fast asleep," he said.

"Sika then allowed the doctor to abort the said pregnancy and warned his daughter not to disclose the sexual act and the abortion to anyone," the police added.

According to C/Insp Atimbire, on February 4, 2017, the alleged victim went to church and narrated her ordeal to her uncle.

"The uncle then informed the mother of the victim who in turn reported the matter to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit of the Ghana Police Service," he said.
