Don't condemn Ghana's future - Mahama

In his address, President Mahama stated that  “in the spirit of Easter, I say that one of the things that we have to do as a nation is to cancel self-doubt.”

“If half the time we say that we are useless and we can’t do it and we can’t go forward, you won’t go forward. You have to celebrate your successes one by one, and that is why I say count your blessings and name them one by one and it will amaze you what the Lord has done," he said.

The President made this known while addressing the Light House Chapel’s Easter Programme dubbed “Good Friday Miracle Service” at the Black Star Square on Friday.

In his address he stated that  “in the spirit of Easter, I say that one of the things that we have to do as a nation is to cancel self-doubt.”

“We see other nations and we admire them and we say Korea has made progress, Malaysia has made progress. That is because they believed that their nations can be great,” he added.

President Mahama expressed his appreciation to all religious leaders in Ghana for their contant prayers for the nation.

He said: “I want to thank Bishop Dag and all the religious leaders for the prayers of intercession they continue to do on behalf of our nation. Why are we called an oasis of peace in a violent sub-region? Why have we not been afflicted with civil war like many other countries in our sub-region have been afflicted with? It’s because our religious leaders have interceded with God and God has heard their prayers and He has put his hand on Ghana and said my children you will not be afflicted by the violence in your sub region.”
