Gory Accident NPP parliamentary candidate involved in fatal crash; 2 dead

Two people have been reported dead and several others injured when a Toyota Highlander vehicle crashed into an Urvan passenger bus on the Techiman- Sunyani road in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The 2016 New Patriotic Party parliamentary candidate for Kintampo South constituency, Alexander Gyan was said to have been driving the Toyota Highlander vehicle when the accident occurred.

He was travelling from Kintampo to Sunyani while the Urvan vehicle was from Sunyani to Techiman, Accra-based Adom FM reports.

The NPP parliamentary candidate was trying to overtake the Urvan bus when it somersaulted resulting in the fatal accident on Thursday.

Mr Gyan and ten others sustained minor injuries but two are reported dead.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Holy Family hospital in Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region.
