3 persons injured in fuel tanker accident

The fuel tanker caught fire after it had collided with an articulated truck which was trying to overtake another tanker, according to reports.

The incident happened on Friday March 25, 2017 just after the Anyinam toll booth.

Eastern Regional Fire Service Commander, ACFO, Joshua Nguah, confirmed the accident, saying “It was three articulated trucks and there was a head-on collision."

The three injured persons were rescued by police and fire service personnel while the tanker drive and his mate managed to jump out of the vehicle before it burst into flames.
