She has advised communities which are in dire need of sped ramps on their roads to pass the request through the Assembly to the necessary authorities for action. She added that a special task force would deal with communities which default in removing such illegal ramps.
Honourable Ntoso was addressing a press conference on the increasing number of unauthorized speed ramps in the Region.
According to the Road Safety Commission, the Region recorded 123 road crashes in the first quarter of 2015, with 28 pedestrian knockdowns and 20 deaths. She has therefore directed the Municipal and District Assemblies to support the Information Service Department to educate people in the communities on how use the road carefully.
