The decision to pass a vote of no confidence in him stemmed from:
1. His continued recalcitrance to hold himself as Regional chairman after the national executive asked him to step aside when he tainted himself politically after contesting for the Builsa North parliamentary seat in the Upper East Region, during the primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
This posturing compromised his political neutrality as a leader of such a noble Association .

In a statement signed by the Regional Secretary, Kingsley Hope, the Regional vice chair, Elizabeth Kankam-Boadu will continue to act as the Chair following the directive by the Regional Chapter and the national executive.
