In Ashanti Region Chief destooled for acting as polling agent for NDC

The chief acted as a polling agent for the NDC in the December elections

A chief in the Ashanti region, Nana Ekon Ansa Boafo has been verbally distooled after acting as a polling station agent for the National Democratic Congress in the December Elections.

Nana Ekon Ansa Boafo who is the Ankobeahene of Essienimpong, broke the chieftaincy act by getting involved in politics.

As per the enstoolment rules he is not to be seen performing any traditional rights in a capacity as a chief.

Spokesperson for the Essienimpong Traditional Authority, Kyeame Kwasi Anarfi confirmed the distoolment to Graphic Online.

He said , Nana Boafo has verbally been informed of the distoolment and that the traditional rights to effect the distoolment will be performed after the funeral of the Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Serwaa Kobi Ampem.
