Narrating the incident, ASP Afia Tenge said Ebenezer Ekow Agaim, one of the suspects in the case allegedly led the three armed men to the said piece of land on September 26, 2016 around 8 pm.

“We had information from the complainant who is now a suspect in this case; it was in the evening around 8 that where he lives there is a portion of land between him and the neighbour’s house. Both of them have been fighting over the piece of land for some time until that unfortunate evening when he himself led three more men to that parcel of land. Apparently, they had brought a truck of stones to that piece of land. So they confronted Bismark, who is also an interested party in the land case. It happened that when they were coming they had armed themselves already knowing who Bismark was. They had armed themselves with knives. They overpowered him and brutalised him [Bismark],” she said.

ASP Tenge said Bismark Attoh, immediately after being attacked, brought out a pump action gun and fired the weapon indiscriminately at them.

“The one who allegedly shot Razak [Bismark] together with the building contractor who allegedly brought the three of them to confront Bismark are in the custody of the police, pending further investigations,” ASP Tenge added.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for one other suspect who is currently at large.
