God has answered our prayers - Prof. Emmanuel Martey

"God has given us a way out, i think this is an opportunity for leaders of this country to wipe out corruption entirely."

Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Right Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey has told Pulse.com.gh that the judicial corruption expose’ is an answered prayer from God.

“This is an answered prayer and gives the opportunity for the leaders to put things right." He said

The Presbyterian Moderator who has strong views on corruptions said this is an opportunity for corruption to be wiped out of the country.

"God has given us a way out i think this is an opportunity for leaders of this country to wipe out corruption entirely." He added

He also said calls for Anas Aremeyaw Anas to shelve the video should be ignored as nobody is above the law.

“Anas is a lawyer and is a registered journalist of this country so he has the right to expose any malfeasance or any corrupt practices whether in the church or the mosque …or the legislature.”

About 34 judges have been have been cited in an corruption expose’ by Anas Aremeyaw Anas. The judges according to Anas have been recording taking bribes to mishandle cases before them.

The judges are appearing before an investigative committee set up by the Chief Justice , but about 22 of them are challenging the procedure being used to establish a Prima farcie case against them in court.

They are also in court to stop the public showing of the video by Anas Aremeyaw Anas. They claim the evidence against them were obtained illegally.

Rev. Martey said these judges should be punished according to the law and government should seize this opportunity to deal with corruption in Ghana
