Minister inaugurates committee to probe Starbow plane crush
The committee is chaired by Nana E.R. Krakue, Air Commodore (Rtd). The rest of the committee members are: Captain G.S. Parker, Air Force Base; Wing Cdr. Emmanuel Akatue; Squadron Leader C. Gaddah, Air Force Base and observer on the committee and Edward Agbodjan, an official of the ministry of aviation.

The Minister expressed confidence in the ability of the committee to undertake a good investigation to put to rest the suspicions surrounding the cause of the incident, as several people have reportedly given different causes of the crash, injuring five people.
She urged the members to “be guided by the provisions of the Act in the discharge of the task entrusted to you and offer recommendations that will assist in ensuring safety and security of our air services.”

A starbow plane carrying 63 passengers and 5 crew crashed at the Kotoka International Airport on Saturday November 25, 2017.

Starbow is one of the two domestic airline companies operating in Ghana.
The company suspended its operations following the accident and has subsequently sacked some of it workers.
It has been in operations since September 2011. Already, three airlines, CityLink, Antrak and Royal Fly Gh, are yet to resume operations after suffering a similar fate about four years ago.
