Three surgical clinics reopened

 

The three clinics under the Department of Surgery, that is the Urology Clinic, General Surgery Clinic and Neurosurgery Clinic were shut down to allow for rehabilitation work to be completed in some of the theaters and recovery wards to improve the quality of care.

Health Minister, Alex Segbefia subsequently toured Korle Bu with the hospital chief executive Dr. Gilbert Buckle to assess the extent of work.

The hospital, has however in a statement indicated its readiness to reopen the said surgical clinics for business on Monday.

It also expressed appreciation to the general public for their patience during the temporary closure of the three clinics.

“The hospital wishes to acknowledge the cooperation and support of its patients, the general public, the Ministry of Heath, sister hospitals in the metropolis and staff of the hospital”, a statement signed by the spokesperson of the premier hospital Mustapha Salifu said.
