Academic background
From St. John’s Secondary School, Sekondi, and St. Augustine’s College, Cape Coast to the University of Mines & Technology (UMaT) where he received his BSc in Mining Engineering.
He pursued his PhD in Mining Engineering at University of Alberta, Canada and Missouri University of Science & Technology (Missouri S&T), USA, receiving his PhD at Missouri S&T.
Kwame Awuah-Offei is currently an associate professor of mining engineering at Missouri University of Science & Technology.
He previously served as an assistant professor at the same institution.
He has 12 years of research, teaching, and consulting experience. Dr. Awuah-Offei has extensive experience in modeling and optimization of mining systems for sustainability. His current research interests include modeling and optimization of mining systems, design and management of sustainable mining systems, mining equipment performance evaluation, and earthmoving equipment-formation interactions.
