Two people have been arrested by the police in connection with the theft.

Scores of people who have visited the park are disappointed over the matter, as the ‘dancing fountain' was the main reason for their visit to the centre.

“I’ve travelled very far to this place only to be told that the fountain for which reason I came here is not functional. I’m really disappointed because I needed pictures from the ‘dancing fountain’ to show to my friends abroad. Anna told Kasapafmonline.com.

Meanwhile, two people have been arrested by the police in connection with the theft.

The Rattray Park, Kumasi City was jointly commissioned by the former president, John Mahama and the AsanteheneOtumfuo Osei Tutu II in 2015.

The park was named after Captain Robert Rattray, a Scottish who was the Assistant Colonial Secretary in the Gold Coast and clerk to the Legislative Assembly of Accra in 1919.

It forms part of efforts to green Kumasi and restore it to its past glory as the Garden City of West Africa.
