Graduates to hit the streets over delayed postings

According to them, four batches from the Accra, Ho, and Tamale Schools of Hygiene are still at home with no work in spite of having successfully graduated from their respective schools.

Graduates to hit the streets over delayed postings

The first Vice president of the National Health Students Association of Ghana, Richard Osei Yeboah said the consistent cholera outbreaks and other sanitation related diseases will not be eradicated if the concerns of the graduates are not addressed.

"The sister Association together with the Concerned students wrote to the Ministry again and they have called them for a meeting on 1st April to discuss the way forward. And then we also have a meeting with the Ministry of Health on the 30th of this month.

"So we are going to discuss these issues. And already we have made our plans that if the meeting on the 30th of and 1st April do not yield any results, on 4th April, we will hit the streets," he told Accra-based Viasat 1.

The graduates of the schools of hygiene are health officers trained to enforce laws on sanitation and educated the populace on measures to adopt to prevent diseases.
