Doctors' strike kill gunshot victim

"Even at 37 the man's was still alive"

A 47 year old clearing agent has been shot dead at Ashaiman Jericho.

The deceased, George Amegbanu was shot in the head in front his wife and three children.

One of the deceased's neighbors who narrated what happened to Pulse.com.gh said the household was attacked by three unmasked men at around 3:15am today.

He said "I also came out trying to chase after them. There was a gunshot immediately; I got back into the room."

Another tenant told Pulse.com.gh that but for the doctors' strike the deceased may have survived.

"We came and we saw the man lying down full of blood. We took the man to general hospital they are not working through then to Nabita they said the man is full of blood they cannot receive the person so we should run him to 37."

He said the deceased was still alive while he was being transferred to hospital.

"Even at 37 the man was still alive." He said.
