Man who used block to hit Capt. Mahama’s head speaks

“I was carrying wood. Then I heard they had caught a thief, so I went to watch. When I got there, they had killed already. So I took the block that was lying around and used it to hit his head.”

In the video circulating on social media, the 36-year-old Kwame Tuffuor is seen hitting the Captain’s head with a block.

Listening to the video, you can hear him and some other culprits trying to hit him with more stones so he can die.

Captain Mahama was lynched by residents of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central region on Monday, May 29, and he will be laid to rest this Friday, June 9, 2017.

The Police has arrested 42 suspects in connection with the incident.
