Jihad Chabaan requests for Arabic interpreter
The judge Victoria Ghansah adjourned the case to the May 10, 2017 so provision could be made for an interpreter.

The request was made by his legal team on Wednesday (May 3, 2017). According them their client could not communicate very well in English and therefore, needed the interpreter to help in that regard.
Chabaan was expected to open his defence after a court dismissed an application for a submission of no case.

Jihad Chaaban is accused of dipping the face of a kitchen staffer Evelyn Boakye at the Abelemkpe branch of the eatery into pepper paste.

This inhumane treatment has caused many social media users in Ghana calling for the boycott of the eatery.
This also led to the creation of a hashtag #boycottMarwako.
Meanwhile, management of the restaurant has suspended the supervisor until police conclude investigations into the matter
