Two men lynched for stealing decoder

Two young men have been lynched in Baidan near Berekum in the Brong Ahafo region for stealing a television decoder.

The two according to reports had gone to the house where they stole from under the pretext of  thirst.

Some young boys who were in the house shouted for help when they saw the two men holding decoders belonging to a tenant in the house.

Confirming the incident to Pulse.com.gh, Public Relations Officer of the Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command ASP Christopher Tawiah said “one of them died on the spot and the other died later at the Berekum hospital”

He also said that the bodies of the two have been deposited at the morgue. Investigations have started even though they are yet to make any arrest.

He advised the public against mob action since “you may be beating the wrong person for the wrong reasons”.
